Sustainable Success comes from energy + Team Cohesion.

This requires trust, reliability, synchronicity + utilising unique traits, skills and talent, as a performance strategy.

 

Carl Jung described 'synchronicity' as an underlying concept that there is unity in diversity. Meaning psychologically, there is unity in the collaborative performance of a team, that can be experienced through 'energy'.

Burnout occurs when individuals are applying a lot of energy in a specific area of their training or skill development or teamwork, that is NOT one of their traits, skills or talents which is a strength to them. When we are taking action using a strength or asset, it will require very little energy to perform or train in this state. In fact, some people spark energy, when they operating in their strength.

What has energy got to do with Team Diversity .... LOADS!!!

Think about an action or skill or talent that you can do for hours and never get bored. In fact, you might be able to do it all day, if possible. This is utilising our strengths and we gain an internal sense of accomplishment, joy and contentment.

Imagine working collectively as a team utilising individual strengths. For starters, you can feel a team's energy when they are confident. You can feel their level of comfortability as they warm up and interact during pre-game.

 

What makes us comfortable... trust, predictable, reliable, connected, valuable... it is part of our DNA and hard wiring. When we feel comfortable, we are in our most natural state.

It would become a source of untapped energy to access when you need as a group. Think about momentum in a performance. It is energy that swings back and forth throughout the performance, amplified or disrupted by energy (like making an error, crowd response, team mates mindset, scoring points...).

In my rigorous research of 'leading whilst losing' one of the most underdeveloped skillsets was planning for loss and a disruption strategy to access during performance, to change momentum.
